I. General Infomation on Koh Phi Phi.
Mu Koh Phi Phi Island, are located at an
equal distance from both Krabi and Phuket . The island about 40 kilometres km from the mainland
coast, consists of 6 islands : Phi Phi Don, Phi Phi Ley, Yung , Bamboo , Bida
Nok and Bida Nai. The name "Phi Phi" is derived from Pulao Pi ah Pi,
which is Malay for island with mangroves. Later, it was corrupt to Phi Phi. The
mainfeatures are sheer limestone cliff and rock. Some offer beautiful beaches
and coral reefs. The best time for a visit is between November and April.
II. Getting to Koh Phi Phi
You can get to either
Phuket or Krabi and take a speedboat to Koh Phi Phi.
Klong Ji Rad pier : The pier was built by the Tourism
Authority of Thailand. They have two operation Phi Phi Family Company and Chao Koh company run air-conditioned 2-deck boats.
Rassada pier : This pier is in Phuket city center. Many
companies provide boat service.
Ton Sai pier : Pier on Ao Ton Sai on Koh Phi Phi.
Sala Dan Pier : This pier in the north of Koh Lanta Yai.
